Sarang Datye

Where ideas hatch into real builds: honest notes, copyable code.

Hi, I’m Sarang#

By day I’m an architect working with enterprise teams on AI. Most days that means listening to a problem, drawing boxes and arrows on whatever surface is closest, and then being asked the only question that matters: “Yes, but does it actually work?”

thinkcubator is where I answer that question in public. An idea shows up, sometimes as a hypothesis I want to prove, sometimes as a problem I hit at work, and sometimes because I wanted to see what would happen. I build it until it runs, then write down what happened: the architecture, the trade-offs, the parts that bit me, and the code you can copy so you do not get bitten too.

What I bring to the bench#

  • Many years of solution architecture across enterprise platforms, now mostly cloud and AI
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF 9 Certified, IASA Foundation Certified, Certified Usability Analyst, and Certified ScrumMaster
  • A soft spot for hypothesis-driven development, design thinking, and learning how to learn, which is a polite way of saying I like to test my opinions before I share them
  • An old habit of writing things down: I once published a piece on speeding up Word automation with the Open XML SDK, back when MSDN was where that kind of thing lived

What I work on#

  • Helping enterprise teams turn AI ideas into production-ready solutions, from early experiments through deployment and day-two operations
  • Generative AI and agent-based systems, and the plumbing that makes them trustworthy: observability, evaluation, feedback loops, gateways, and trust boundaries
  • Cloud and application architecture on Azure, enterprise integration, and modernization at scale
  • The unglamorous middle between strategy and execution, where good ideas either become systems people use or become slides

On my own time, I build local-first apps, small tools, and the occasional native app because the built-in one was almost right.

What you’ll find here#

Writing contains builds told as stories, with diagrams first and opinions second.

Snippets contain complete, checked code. No “…” where the hard part should be.

Tools are small utilities I made because doing it by hand a third time felt like a personal failing.

Architectures are reference designs I have actually built, including the trade-offs nobody puts on the slide.

The fine print#

  • Opinions are my own, not my employer’s.
  • Some posts are drafted with AI help. Every post says so, and I check, test, and edit everything before it ships. See the AI use policy.
  • Writing is CC BY 4.0 and code is MIT. Use it freely; keep my name on it. See the license.
